Recently my friend suffered from a strange “disease”. His temperature was not stable; it went up and down in a very short time, although after a while all seemed fine again. Then he started to smell strange, but when he was running the smell was gone and all seemed fine.
His symptoms were very unusual, showing different things on different occasions. I made sure he had enough
liquid and that he wasn’t cold before we left. Then his brain started to send signals which confused the “body”. I thought he had a “virus”.
So I decided to take him for a complete check-up. I had just started on my way with him when after a few steps (maybe 100m), he started coughing and suddenly, in the middle of the street he was forced to stop, not moving forward or backwards. It was as if he was dead, blocking the way for everyone.
I immediately called the “doctor”, who told me that he could not help me on the phone; I had to take my friend there. Proverbs 16:9 tell us “A person plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps.” Just imagine if I had been on the motor way when he suddenly stopped reacting. I probably would have died with my friend.
Now you may wonder what happened, and who this friend of mine was. In fact, to tell you the truth, his name is “C-Max” – my car! It was confused by an electronic problem, and it stopped because it hasn’t got a manual hand brake, but an automatic one, which malfunctioned. I give thanks to God, because he spared my
life. Just a few minutes later I would have been driving on the motorway, and had the car suddenly braked at that moment, it would have cost me my life.
It was my car that needed to be fixed, but it was me who was reminded, that we may have our plans, but the Lord is the one who directs us. It was Him who allowed the car to stop, before I was in danger. Do you feel that some situations are there to make you suffer?
Ponder and consider that maybe they are just there to save your life, just as in my case! Thank you Lord for directing my ways.
Be blessed!
